Alderman calls for forensic audit as Peace Bridge price tag climbs

Determining the actual cost of building the controversial Peace Bridge may require a forensic audit, after it was revealed the span’s price tag has jumped by $200,000, says an alderman

Diane Colley-Urquhart said she plans on asking for a forensic audit on the now $24.7 million bridge, but she also wants to wait and see what final figures bureaucrats will come up with when the bridge is finally opened next month.

Honestly I quite like the design of the bridge, and I think time will be much kinder to it once it's open and done with. But this really has been a mess from start to finish.
