I explained that cows have been bred for successive generations to understand time zones. It's one of the miracles of nature. But let's not get ridiculous: of course chickens don't know what time it is. They're chickens!
The problem is when the farmer goes out to feed the cows and says, "Hey cows, it's 2 am and time to eat!" The cows will be thinking "What? We don't eat at 2 am. How odd!" They will refuse to eat because of these crazy new rules.
The cows will inadvertently go on a hunger strike, and that will impact the quality of our milk, and therefore cheese. I don't want to live in a world of inferior cheeses.
It's also why Saskatchewan cows are around 14% more efficient than in other places: no daylight savings time. They are used to what time it is, and they are more happy as a result. Plunge those same cows into a world with no time zones, and chaos and disorder will prevail.
I'm sorry, I just can't support your proposal.
