it will be like if you created a new shepherd in ME2. you will need to go through an intro and make the important decisions from the first 2 games
the official Mass Effect canon is that Shepherd lives at the end of ME2. think of him/her dying as an alternate ending, to see how things could have turned out. that ending has zero effect on the official ME storyline though
