Like I said it was a toss up with Flames and Habs and in the end I went with goal diff.
Calgary took one of the hottest teams to overtime in Anaheim, beat the Sharks, beat the Canucks, took 4 out of 6 on the road and 6 out of 8 during a very tough schedule.

Calgary has gained 13 points in the last 10 Montreal has gained 13 points in the last 10.

Montreal is 7 points out of a playoff spot and is more then likely in next year country. Calgary is 2 points back and very much alive.

Montreal is below .500 by one game Calgary is 4 games above .500.

Goal diffential means nothing in this case. Calgary is just flat out not only better then montreal, but they're at a different level. Montreal is more Edmonton then Calgary.

In this case Goals for and against doesn't mean anything at all.
