I don't know, I just reread it.

With a couple of Exceptions Thrawn was built up as this awesome super Admiral who was strategically unbeatable, Yet if you go back and re read the book he in effect is the zeppo of the books. He loses pretty much every battle, is duped at almost every turn and literally loses control of every tactical situation.

and don't get me going about the cloned mad jedi that they wanted to make into an emperor wannabe but in the end he's struck down as easily as me backhanding a midget.

There was just no menace to the whole thing when Lando and Han and Luke and Leia basically kick the crap out of Thrawn in every major operation in the book.

And the end of Thrawn to me was really kind of lame.
