I don't even mind it that much, to be honest, but when that traditional attire is used to get special privileges, then where do we draw the line? At religion?
If I dressed up as Aladdin and went to work on any day other than October 31st, I'd be fired. I am required to wear a uniform.
Though we have employees who celebrate Halloween 365 days a year and they are exempt from wearing the uniform.
It's just stupid to me that's all.
But yes, you're right... it doesn't directly affect me.
Then again, neither does half of the things that EVERY ONE OF US form opinions on every single day.
