I don't think Muslims and Hindu's are protesting and rioting because Valentines Day causes stress.
As a sidebar, in the LA Times this morning, among other things:
At the same time, the survey found that spending a few frivolous dollars can advance the cause of romance. Buying four dozen roses "just because" was considered "wonderfully romantic" by 69% of respondents, as was being taken out to a nice meal by 94%.

I don't mind Valentines Day. I know I'm being sucked into a commercial vortex but I go willingly . . . . . Mrs. Cowperson woke up this morning to a card and a gift basket I had left behind and I will return tonight with armfuls of flowers. I know she will smile. It's all good.
