The UN now adds to its disgrace as Russia and China block the UN resolution that would condemn President Bashar alAssad and his government and allow the Arab League to implement its plan to end the violence.
This veto happens in the face of another slaughter that resulted in the death of over 230 Syrian's including 100 woman and children.
Its really time to dissolve the UN or leave its charitable organizations in place with serious reforms and end its other roles. Its time for Canada to stop writing checks to the UN until it reforms

Is there any reason why the Arab League can't go forward with their plans? I know NATO ignores UN resolutions all the time. Not arguing with you about the UN being useless just wondering if this really does anything to stop the Arab League from doing what is necessary.
