Midnight in Paris was fine but not great (Owen Wilson being Owen Wilson in another movie).
Moneyball was fine but not great (Brad Pitt being Brad Pitt in another movie... Jonah Hill being pretty much Jonah Hill in another movie... Philip Seymour Hoffman gave the best performance in the movie as Art Howe).
Tree of Life was the most visually stunning pretentious piece of self indulgent crap I've ever seen.
Ides of Mach was fine but not great (George Clooney being George Clooney in another movie (haven't seen The Descendants, though)).
FWIW, Crazy, Stupid, Love was the most entertaining movie I saw "this year" (and, yes, it had Steve Carell being Steve Carell in another movie), though I plan on watching Drive and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil this weekend, so things could change.
