Anyway, the craziest part of that letter is the whole "come on back, I'll be nice to you now" angle the slave owner took.
He didn't just not get that the slavery thing had been a, umm, "bad deal" for the slaves, he actually thought they would voluntarily come back.
I know I know, things were different bla bla bla, but really, what a meathead.
