Wouldn't be as hard as it seems. All you would really have to do is look at the league standings, and see how evenly the teams matched up, and made sure you selected the right teams.
Also, don't forget, they were expecting to be filmed for a mens league documentary already as mentioned at the start. So they were likely bringing their A games already anyway. I know if there was any cameras at one of my beer league games I would be going all out.
