I find their matches pretty boring to be honest. Federer does amazing things with his forehand - whether it's returning, rallying, drop shots, or anything else. And Nadal completely does not allow him to do anything with it - I think at one point he served something like 98% of his serves (both first and second) to the backhand.

It gets quite monotonous to watch Federer basically try to break out of his backhand, and then because he's so out of rhythm on his forehand, that messes up too.

Ugh, staying up to 5:30 to watch it and then being at work is not fun =/
I hate to admit it, but to a certain extent this is kind of what I was thinking while watching Fedal XXVII. Some amazing shots by both players that would make a great highlight package, but mostly just 3+ hours of watching Rafa endlessly beat down Roger's backhand...works every time. The commentators are correct that the difference between these guys is that Rafa has no problem sticking to a game plan even if it's brutally monotonous. Roger on the other hand can get discouraged easily if a point or two goes against him, and will just revert to his old futile tactics.

I enjoyed the Djoker/Murray match a lot more because it was two evenly matched players trying to impose their games on each other. Result was really a coin toss either way. The final will still be exciting, but if it continues to be as lopsided as the Fedal rivalry, then it might start to get just as stale.
