Who was adamant that the husband was the perpetrator?

I saw people saying that in cases like this it is very likely that it was the husband but having followed this thread I didn't see anyone say that it was him for sure or really say anything other than in most cases like this that it is the husband.

The fact that the husband is still the most likely person in cases like this, even though it appears he had nothing to do with it here, hasn't changed.

Why should anyone take what they said?

Unless I missed something there was nothing in particular about this husband that was pointed out and just generalities about this type of case.
