Stayin on-topic: I'll say that the girl was not necessarily
taken from her room. She could have innocently (or not) left in the middle of the night to get ice or something not quite as kosher, for example and ran into some bad people. If you're a heavy sleeper, you don't necessarily know when someone has gotten out of your bed. Combine that with alcohol from a night of drinking and you're not always gonna wake up when someone leaves. Or is taken.
