Bit of a rant... take it for what it's worth.

Made it to level 27, got a speeder, landed on Tatooine and started running through the quests. By the time I completed my first quest, I realized all I had done was talk to NPC, skip the conversation, b-line to the objective and come straight back to turn it in. I didn't give a crap about what I had just done. Every planet instills a sense of dread - as if a co-worker had just dropped a to-do list of 50+ items on my desk.

There is nothing holding my interest in the game beyond the personal character story, which to progress I have to level my character, which to achieve I have to slog through countless quests I really don't care about.

And to top all that off, the space quests were cool and different, the first two times. After that I just kept getting "dailies" to repeat series of the same three space missions over and over and over.

Seriously?

They should just knock out half the XP required to hit milestones in the game. SWTOR just isn't "fun" for me anymore. It's just work. This is like Everquest or Vanilla WoW - just a constant grind cutup by the occasional cool story cutscene.

SWTOR should have been released as KOTOR 3. Yeah, I think I'm done with MMO's entirely.

And speaking of MMO's - it's 2012... ffs put a LFG system in that's useful. And relax the ridiculous trifecta garbage - I've met exactly 2 people in the game that actually grasped the concept of crowd control, tanking and focused DPS. And at the level of 18, it's absolutely necessary to do this in every heroic quest and flashpoint - there is no wiggle room whatsoever. I gave up trying to do the heroic quests/flashpoints despite them being the more interesting parts of the game because I had to put up with idiots who had no idea how to play (yes, I even guilded and sough refuge there - no dice). I do recognize that it's a new MMO, but I had hoped that people would have picked up the basics by level 25 at least... (that's like 35+ hours in for god's sake)

It's too bad. Because they nailed the atmosphere of Star Wars so perfectly - if only the game wasn't a boring slog through drudgery.

At this point, I'd rather do work then play this game anymore. At least I get something out of work...

/rant - sorry about this, just had to vent a bit.
