He can still read plays fairly well and pass well enough. He continually gets powerplay time, but hasn't been able to do much in that time.
It's a toss up as to whether or not he'll get re-signed this offseason. It's too bad because he was a pretty promising young prospect in his first year. I'd like nothing more than to see him get back to where he was, but I don't see it happening.

The Flames will probably sign Joey Leach from Kootenay, so he's on his way in. There's a possibility that John Ramage comes in, too.
That means that in the pros, likely two contracts are going to be moved out. (Although moving Mikkelson likely opens a spot up for next year, too).
