Default Running an extension cord across a sidewalk...

So it's coming up on almost four years since I snagged a few beauty extension cords from some sucker who left them unsupervised outside his residence and it's time to put them to use now that the search has been called off.

The house I'm currently living in has only street parking available in the front. My battery has started dying overnight due to the recent cold and I'm wanting to run a couple cords from the outlet out front of the house to the vehicle. Does anyone know if there some kind of city bylaw against running cords across a sidewalk? I checked the city website and it refers to the banning of cords running to trailers/RV's but doesn't specify vehicles. Google brings up a couple articles talking about the issue in Regina but that's about it.

Any help is appreciated!

***Nevermind- finally found an answer on the City of Calgary website. Looks like I'm S.O.L. Thanks anyways.***
