Bartschi, skated with the team during practice Monday and Tuesday, but wasn’t cleared for contact until Thursday. He isn’t expected to play Friday, but could return in time for either Saturday’s game at Seattle or Monday’s home game against Tri-City.

"So that (Thursday's practice) will be the first, but it will be a quick step," Johnston said. "If he handles contact really well, the way he's handled everything else this week on the ice, then I'd anticipate within two, three, four or five days he could probably play."
