I am leaving myself vulnerable to ridicule here, but I have to be brave and spread my gospel: I sit down to pee (only at home obviously), not because I'm forced to (this was entirely my own initiative), but because it is simply superior to standing to pee: (1) no splatter mess = way less cleaning of the bathroom; (2) no need to be constantly lowering and raising toilet seats; (3) excuse to take leisurely pee and even read a magazine article some times. The only drawback is that sometimes it turns into a poo at inopportune times (like commercial break during Flames game), but I think I can control that better with more practice.
