You lucky sob. Singapore and Malaysia are the mecca of good food. Hope you don't have a gambling addiction, there are a lot of nice casinos there.
I can't really help you much with places to visit since I usually only hop in to visit cousins for a day or so and hit the casinos and clubs, but I can help you with food. Since Singapore is filled with the chinese, malay, and tamil, the food is pretty much a fusion of these 3 races. Things to try include a rice dish called nasi lemak, soup dish called laksa (assam or curry), fried wok noodle dish called cha kway tiau, fried rice Nasi Goreng. Hot pot is called "steamboat" and it's predominately seafood. And seafood...Oh man, heaven.
Singapore and Malaysia are pretty similar (they're beside each other). However, singapore is a little bit more liberal than Malaysian. Also, if you're single and North American I guarantee you'll get plenty of play.
