I'm having trouble finding a link, but I'm almost certain I read a Globe and Mail article last fall which outlined their grocery strategy for some of their Canadian stores. The plan is to sell food more than just boxed goods and non-perishables. A limited supply of produce, and--if I recall correctly--meat.
Not a full blown grocery store as we know it, but competition is always good.
