Just to qualify this..... part of the reason it works so well for you is Calgary has a terrestrial repeater. Now, I have found wild fluctuations on how well this repeater works. I work downtown, and it works just find underground in my parking lot. However I often experience a drop out as I pass under the underpass at Deerfoot and McKenzie Blvd.
If you live in the deep suburbs, or out of town, your mileage will certainly vary.
