Anyone else get hooked up this weekend?
I bought the SV1 at Best Buy, cheapest unit there is. $47.98 CAD. The "home kits" they sell are complete horse****. I just cut the end off the cigarette lighter cord and attached a DC wall adapter. The "car" antenna works fine at home, no reason to buy the bigger "home" antenna.
I have incredible reception, I can carry the whole unit around my apartment including the antenna and it doen't even come close to cutting out. I threw it in my bag with a battery and listened while walking to work, no problems in the bus either. The only time it cut off was when the elevator doors closed going up the the 6th floor of my building.
The crazy thing is, my office does not have any windows, I'm in the middle of my building. Can't belive the antenna works just sitting on my desk.
