Any player of any age can be signed to a 2-way, and if they want a shot at the best league in the world, that's what they'll do. I doubt the Flames would consider them too old since a 2-way is basically no risk.
Kolanos has played 136 games in the NHL, and if he wants more he'll keep plugging away, even though he's 30. His 2-way [between the ECHL and the AHL] ends next year. We'll see what happens.
