Whenever I go to Calgary, Sheraton Eau Claire is where I stay. I can't say it's better or worse than any other hotel in Calgary, because I haven't been to any, but the Sheraton was fantastic. The hotel bar is fine, there's a couple restaurants well within walking distance and it's a couple minute walk to the train to get to the game.

I stayed there a few years ago for a company Christmas party. Its a nice place. Had fun in the irish pub (forget the name) on the main floor too.
I believe every guest room is set up as a suite.
