CALGARY — Calgarians not locked into long-term power contracts will pay almost 100 per cent more for electricity in January than a year ago, according to the provincial utilities regulator.
Every flick of the switch during the first month of 2012 will cost 15.284 cents per kilowatt-hour to Enmax Corp. residential and commercial customers, the Alberta Utilities Commission noted on its website late Thursday.
