This is my wife’s story and she’s stickin’ to it…..
Last night I was at hockey so my wife was home alone. She had been talking to our neighbours on the phone. About 10 minutes after the call with our neighbours had ended she hears, “911-police/ambulance/fire, what is the nature of your emergency” (or something like that). She looks around and is trying to figure out where this voice came from. She hears it a couple of more times and then realizes that it’s coming from the cordless phone. She picks up the receiver and obviously confused she starts asking the 911-dispatcher what she wants. Now the dispatcher is confused becuz she is saying that my wife called her but she didn’t (if you hit the redial button it shows the last 4 out-going calls and 911 was not one of them)
Has anyone ever had that happen before??
My only explanation/rationale is that maybe the phone (being cordless) didn’t properly disconnect or something at the end of the call to my neighbours and maybe someone else in our neighbourhood dialed 911 and for what ever reason (similar frequencies?) our phone took the call over??
It was just sorta weird.
