I dance at functions, but I can understand if people don't. It's not for everyone and that's completely okay.
What's more annoying are the people who go around pulling people who clearly aren't comfortable dancing on to the dance floor... "Come on dance!! Why don't you dance!!!?" or make a huge deal out of how it is even possible that people wouldn't want to dance (*GASP*).
A co-worker at my XMAS party this year did that... Uggh... annoying, let people be. It was funny to see people actually resist her persistent tugging and see her actually fall on her butt trying to get one of the other people to join her and party.
