It's not being a sore loser or anything, but I'm not completely devistated at the Jays not winning the bid. I can't help but think of the crazy price when all is said and done. I think, like Dice K, where players have never seen a him before and scouting is scarce on what to expect, he'll be great (at least 15 wins) his first year, but once scouting is up to par and teams get pretty accurate reports on how to beat him, it'll be interesting to see how adjusts his game. It stinks that they'll have to deal a prospect or two, but the Jays have some pretty nice players like Snider and Lind (pretty large upsides, though I'm a bit skeptical of AA selling at a low). I'm personally not even sure this is the year to go for it even though guys like Darvish and Prince are pieces that would fit in nice, the Jays are still a little of a step behind when it comes to having players who are clutch, and I think they need to develop that internally before they make huges moves to win it all.
