I would drag Safari to the trash, and empty the trash. I'd do the same with iTunes.

Then, download Safari from Apple via Firefox and re-install it. Reboot, and then re-install iTunes.

See if that helps. A bad Safari install is exceptionally rare, but it can be uninstalled and reinstalled even on Macs. Safari is used by iTunes for rendering the App Store, so the fact that they both have issues points to a bad Safari install.
