Default Essay Brainstorming Help Needed Please!

Hi, since I'm procrastinating away on CP anyways, I thought I'd see if I can get any help on my essay. I do have some points, but I could use a pointer or two to get some debate going for me. It would really be an immense help if you know anything or even if your not well versed on this particular issue, it is still okay to throw out some general ideas based on your analysis of the topic.

TOPIC: The Tibetan Plateau is rich in natural resources, including wildlife, and is the source of the major rivers in Asia. Tibet provides water resources to a major portion of the world's population. Based on this situation, what impact can Tibetan natural resources have in the social and economic development in Tibet and in the world? Within the reality and limitations of the current Chinese government regulations, what can Tibetans in exile and those inside Tibet, do to protect the water resources, wildlife (including the prevention of illegal trade), and other natural resources of Tibet?

My few points thus far:
- His Holiness the Dalai Lama use his immense moral authority over Tibet in environmental campaigns directed at educating Tibetan nomadic populations about the issues. Ie. have the visiting Tibetans in India take the message back home, use the Radio Free Asia airwaves (radio) to get message into Tibet from outside.

- Have Tibet support groups, which typically oppose the vast majority of Western businesses (potential for exploitation as Tibetans in Tibet cannot raise their voices in dissaproval) venturing into Tibet in collusion with the Chinese government, actually seek to co-operate and engage instead of protest those businesses. Of course this would be on a case by case basis, depending on the project and it's magnitude. Thus, they may reach a mutually agreable set of guidelines or tangible benefits for the locals in Tibet for some ventures at the very least. ie. if Eldorado gold corp. from B.C. was mining in Tibet, a Tibet NGO in Canada could actively seek to engage them so that perhaps a few Tibetan locals could be hired for the project instead of Chinese, and perhaps a school could be built for locals or other things along those lines.

*so if u have any starters please feel free to jot down a few, thanks!
