I'm gonna give the kid a pass on this one. Takes balls to do what he just did, it is not like he is trying to win a toaster oven or something, he wants to go to work. And in essence, he has taken a step to try and network, to strangers albeit.
I am going to echo the sentiments of the second post from MMF. I know things are different now than they were when I went to work, but when I was your age, I would print off 50 resumes, and start walking and handing them out until I was out. I have never gone more than 2 days without a job, except for when I chose to take a 6 month sabbatical and golf every day for that time.
I am still of the firm belief, that dropping a resume in person, has a much larger impact than "emailing it in". I will always give the guy who takes the time to get out more of a look, than someone ram firing resumes off their Macbook, with some post modern hipster template.
What type of job you looking for?
WHat is your salary expectation?
What is your field of study?
edit: also you got a pass for a very clever handle.... very cool.
