A fascinating feature of OneNote, that not many people take advantage of, is the ability to have more than one machine editing a notebook simultaneously (edit: on a LAN, not over the internet). The changes are replicated to all machines in near-real time without having to save or re-open the OneNote document. There is a wizard built in that handles configuring the file share required on one of the machines, as well as instructions for mapping the drive and opening the document on other machines.
Works quite well, and can be quite handy in meetings, group work, as an ad-hoc wiki or electronic whiteboard, etc.
