Its not, most of the companies he listed are not MLM. My mom has sold AVON for years, she likes it. But she doesnt get paid money based on how many people she suckers into signing up under her. She just gets commission from selling products that people like.
edit: I should also add that you dont have to pay money just to have the privilege of selling their product. Most MLM's that I have heard of charge 100's of dollars to sign up, money that falls up the pyramid. You make more money for signing people up that actually selling any product.
