I agree.
I think it's time to let it go. I doubt that the small amount of tourism that we get from having this "cultural" aspect makes up for the money we waste on it and the negative imapct it has on national unity.
Not to mention, the British Royal Family has been involved in some pretty brutal things in the past. It's not really something to take pride in associating with.
