I do think it hurts his legacy. In the Hall of Fame class of a few years ago, Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripkin Jr. were reveared and got over 90% of the voting alot due to playing an entire career with one team.

The more rare it is for a player to play his entire career for one team in todays game, the more valued it is. Pujols has now lost this.
They were regulars before free agency and money became huge. Who's going to be the next hall of famer to play their entire career with one team. It's so rare now that it's actually special. Won't diminish legacys anymore because it just doesn't happen. Great players have played for many teams and you don't remember them for just switching teams. Paul Molitor? Wade Boggs? Nolan Ryan? Hall of famers, legacy tarnished by playing for more then one team?
