Yeah it's a
long way from replacing my iPad. I could see it being a fit for some people though. At $199 it's got a hardware advantage over anything else in its price range (that I know of); it performs as smoothly as any tablet I've played with.
If an 8GB limit on the Fire is a deal breaker, there's a spot for it as a budget tablet. I'd take it over a Gingerbread tablet.
