For the third time, OSU lost to a team that is playing in f'in Yankee Stadium for their bowl. The Pinstripe Bowl. Bama lost to the best team in the country. There are plenty of legitimate arguments for OSU, the need to win your conference, the lack of desire to see a rematch etc. Saying the spot is "rightfully" there's isn't one of them.

There's no "rightfully" anyones shot to this game, it's poll based which means there's always going to be controversy. Probably won't be the last time multiple 1 loss or 0 loss teams are arguing who's better. Bama was fantastic this year, not in any close games except the LSU game. I don't think anyone will dispute that. OSU beat a number of good teams as well, and put up the 2nd most points in college football this year. They had a bad loss and they know this cost them. UNLESS THEY PLAY you can only argue that Bama is better the OSU. I'm glad OSU's coach is already not talking about this anymore and focussing on Stanford because that could be a great game as well.
