I know there and that's why it's still baffling. Virginia Tech isn't exactly a great TV draw. They will travel well, but Boise St has traveled as good as anyone in their 2 BCS Bowl appearances.
It just seems like they took the much weaker team without gaining anything on the business side. Some writers on twitter have suggested that it's a shot at the MWC as their commissioner took some pretty good shots at the BCS this year. Put Boise in their game and they're handing that conference ~$10mil.
