Yeah, Ramada touting 20% a 3 night stay off may work in 1993, but in the world of Priceline/Hotwire/Expedia and many other hotel chains, its not worth cutting the already cheesy commercial for.
One that's actually kind of catchy is the Gillette one with the guys' faces on fire. As with other Gillette ads, looks like a European one converted to North American (as evidenced by the extra long shot (for a 30 second commercial), wide angle, of the guy watching the chick in the dress walk by him). But just the right amount of cheese, and catchy music.
What caught my attention about it first was the chick at the very end looking like she was going to get run over by the guy in backgroud, and couldn't have missed him by much.
