I have never felt un-safe in these communities? There is a diverse cultural landscape now moving into these area's due to affordability and access to such things as Transit, even ethnic churches/mosques has played apart. Due to barriers within cultures/language etc. it is harder for these community planners to gain a community pride feeling growing throughout each of these communities. The biggest killer for any community in my oppinion is rental properties. You have much greater turn-over and over crowding of individual homes occurs quite frequently as well. This Temple thing is just a string of bad luck.
