I just moved out of Whitehorn a year ago after raising 3 kids in there for 6 years. There are some shady areas in Whitehorn, just like Temple, but I really like the neighbourhood for the most part. I had 7 full grown trees on my lot, and the neighbourhood was loaded with beautiful mature trees as well. The NE obviously gets a bad rap, but I didn't mind. It was cheap to buy a house there and the area I lived in was beautiful and perfect for raising kids.
