Totally agree.

I think it is the idea that it is a fairly established practice to park on the street. It is just the idea that one day it is fine for someone to park in front of their house, now it is not. Not really arguing some sort of vested right to park there, just that people had become accustomed to it.

It would totally have an effect on desirability of certain properties. Fortunately I rent and will probably move by next winter.
