To be fair most of those players drafted above him are either playing in the NHL and doing pretty well or are D-men. Though he is out producing Strome (5), Scheifle (7), and is on par with Huberdeau (3).

One guy I am watching pretty closely is McNeil. There was a big camp picking him as the player the Flames should have drafted. He ended up going 18 overall and Baertschi is blowing him out of the water this season.

McNeil only has 22 points in 27 games and is a minus 7.

So far so good in that draft choice.
