If you "remember" this incident but it didn't cause you any harm/trauma, it sounds like something barely worth mentioning at all. There are kids who get beat up physically and bullied in a thousand different ways everyday......much worse than being called a "nip" once.

And why do these have to be mutually exclusive? Racism is not something to brush off. Both bullying and racism are harmful to society and both should be dealt with. One should not take the lime light over the other. Brushing off racist acts is no different that ignoring bullying.
Edit: I also remember getting bullied in school and getting mugged once for money. But no permanent trauma, so I guess bullying and crime should equally be ignored. This isn't about one or two incidents happening to me, but a general problem that should be addressed.
