I cannot listen to that song without choking up or dribbling a tear or two. The song just coveys so much hope and optimism. Hard to believe I was 5 years old when that came out... I still remember the 3 days of anticipation and excitement to go see this movie with my family, and then getting the VHS for Christmas/Chanukah a year later and watching it until the tape had the consistency of tissue paper.. Great memories.

I'll admit, I teared up with this song. I've never been taken back to being a kid as much as I did in the 2 minutes of Rainbow Connection.
By the way, I (and most of the packed theatre at Chinook) were laughing a lot during this movie. Loved the Jim Henson lightpole flag tribute throughout the second half.
9.5/10 for me. Nostalgia + great movie.
