I thought Segal played his character as it was intended to be played, a cheesy overacting small town yokel. It's a musical.

If you're in your late 20's(?) or younger and you didn't grow up with the muppets, it is true you may not enjoy the movie as much as the generations before and after you that it is geared toward.

Edit: No, I didn't recall anything that scared my 4 year old.
