Otherwise, I disagree. I think it would take Orton way too long to learn even a frtaction of Martz's offense and while Forte is basically accounting for 50% of the offense, a lot of his threat comes receiving out of the backfield.

One thing the Bears have been doing is making the pocket a little more mobile and even then Cutler usually has to leave it to give himself time and make plays on the run, something Orton really doesn't have the ability to do, he has poor mobility and is even worse throwing on the run. At this point the only thing I think he has on Hanie is experience. Hanie has a decent arm and much better mobility and as an added bonus, is much more familiar with the playbook.

I think this is Hanie's spot to lose for the next 6 weeks, and the only thing I'd like to see Orton do is back up Hanie as an emergency stop-gap. Even then I think someone like Marc Bulger could be a better option given his histroy with Martz
