Last week's episode, Dexter just happens to go to a shady motel where the shady motel owner think Dexter is shady and decides to steal his knives and black mail Dexter. Can't Dexter just find a normal motel with a normal motel owner? Not every motel is small town USA is a place for whack jobs. Such a boring cliche.
And tonight, the clue that lead Dexter to the senile priest which led him to the church was ridiculous. About 2 seconds after examining the body, he just happens to stumble across a broken seam in the fabric of the drapes. A broken seam? I could break a seam on my own curtains, turn around, look back at the curtain and have a hell of a time trying to find it. But no, Dexter just happens to see a crucial piece of evidence in a couple seconds in a broken seam of fabric that he's never seen in his life.
Maybe I'm being too harsh and should just shut up and enjoy the show, but that broken seam really pissed me off. I mean, a broken seam???
