Teams don't play smaller teams because smaller schools (Boise State) want to be paid to go to a school like Nebraska and then they want the other school to come out for a return trip on their own dime. Alabama for example played Ga Southern yesterday and probably paid them close to 1million to play and Bama still cleared a cool 6 million in revenue after payment. it's about money, because GSU isn't going to want a return trip and that million pays for most their athletic budget.
